I am going to warn all readers that I am obsessed with my family and my camera. This being said, I am warning you now that I will not hesitate to post a ton of pictures and possibly obnoxiously long blog posts. I hope that you enjoy reading about our experiences!

Where have I been!?!?

The girls and I are on a vacation! We left a few weeks ago to visit family (since Harlow hadn't met many people yet). We spent the first week in Portland, OR visiting Brent's parents and extended family. It was my first time flying with 2 children by myself and I have to say I don't think it could have gone any better. Brenna loved having her own seat on the plane and Harlow slept most of the 2 flights that we were on. Our layover was just long enough to use the bathroom and find something to eat before getting on the plane again.

We were able to do a bunch of fun things in Portland so I am going to have to split up the week into a few different blog posts. This first one is from our trip to the Portland Zoo. Brenna loved that we went to the Tucson Zoo on Thursday and the Portland Zoo on Friday. We could go to a different zoo every day and not ever get bored! The main difference we saw between Tucson and Portland was how COLD it was in Portland! I had us in coats, long pants/shirts, and socks with close toed shoes and we were still cold.

Brenna loved seeing all of the animals and having a place to run around and get out her ever increasing energy. She tried her very first elephant ear and of course loved it.

I have to admit that many of the pictures from the zoo were a bit blurry...I am going to blame that on the fact that she didn't stop moving the entire time we were there. I couldn't use most of the pictures because all you see is a Brenna blur.

I was able to get a few cute shots that show her silly personality a bit.

We saw the important things before deciding to head for home because the rain had started.

By the time we got the kids in the car we were all drenched and the rain was really coming down. This was the first of many fun things we did in Portland. Stay tuned for more from the Great Northwest!
