Somehow I got it into my head that it would be fun and fairly easy to learn how to decorate cakes. With Brenna's birthday coming up I decided i wanted to make her cake...and what I have in my head is quite complicated. I got a great opportunity to practice a few things when my friend Karalee needed a smash cake for her daughter's first birthday. My mom brought me a few pans and other supplies and shared a few tips with me. I did this 100% on my own...and i have to say it turned out pretty cute!
And Kaylee had a great time with it!
Now on to a Toy Story themed cake...wish me luck!

Wow, nice job!! So cute--looking forward to seeing your birthday girl's cake. hugs & love to you and your fam.
That is sooo stinkin' cute! I wish you lived closer so I could beg you to make one for this next baby of mine's 1st B-day!
Wow I'm impressed. I expect miracles when I get back since you'll have a lot of time to practice!
It turned out beautiful! I suck at decorating...I certainly didnt get mom's talent there, but I see you did!
That really turned out adorable. I am anxious to see the toy story cake. You are very talented.
It was absolutely perfect! I knew you would do a great job. I'm getting excited about B's cake, you have to let me come watch you make it. (Notice I didn't say "help"...cuz nothing I would do to a cake would be considered "helping")
